Flourish on Pink Glitter

Today is Wednesday again! This means a new challenge for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, October 2014.

Today's theme is glitter!!!  I have a gorgeous hot pink glitter by Loreal that was simply begging to be used today and I struggled to find a stamping image that didn't overpower it.  MDU stamping polishes are a godsend.  I stamped dozens of images over this glitter before finding this flourish.  The beauty of MDU is that it dries so slowly, there is no rush!  You can simply remove a stamped image from your nails using tape or a lint roll.  Sadly the sun didn't shine, so all my photographs are artificially lit.

This manicure is the base layer preparation for the AIS Sunday Challenge, in which I will be trying to copy a darker leopard print phone cover.  Keep watching this space to see how this develops.

Base colours: The following colours are all fairly sheer, so I added two different coloured coats on each finger, trying to make every finger slightly different.

My Mum Came Home with Confetti

She presented me with a lovely little bottle of Loreal top coat confettis, Splash Peach.  I was thrilled. I love glitter.  I wore it on its own for a few days, then added  OPI Don't touch my Tutu for a jelly sandwich effect.

I can't wait to try out this candy coloured glitter with other colors.
