Holographic Stars

September is Stamping Month day 25!!!!  Gosh the month is flying by so quickly.  Today's theme is Stars.  This manicure kills two birds with one stone since I've also been tagged by the super talented Serene (Copycat Claws) in a stamping game, and the challenge was to use a holographic polish.

I really wanted my stars on a black holo polish, but this really didn't work well (see photo below)!  I removed it and used decals over this gorgeous nude holo instead.  I was sooooo lucky that after a week of moody stormy weather, the sun came out today and I was able to capture some of this holographic goodness <3

Base colour:  Sinful Colors, 101 Snow me White
Holographic polish:  Born Pretty Holo Polish, Color 6 (nude)
Decals, from left in photo below
  • Beauty UK Nail Polish, Unnamed (yellow)
  • Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine, Papaya GNP 13
  • Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine, Blueberry GNP 5
  • Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine, Green Berry GNP 12
Stamp colour: Konad Black
Stamping plate: Moyou London Pro Collection - 14 XL

  3. Fabulous! I love the imperfection of the coloured decal too: crossing the lines looks wonderful somehow :) I had a nude holo on this week... I need to get my decal application sorted to try this! I love the idea of over the black holo, very galactical, but this really does suit the nude better. Might need to be neon to pop on the dark holo!

    1. Oh Debz, I adore your comments. You make so much sense <3. I would love to see your decals. You can see how imprecise I am, you can only improve on what you see here <3 I really really think your work is so fab <3

    2. Aww, thank you :) It's a joy to see what you're up to and get ideas! I shall try and find some of the failed attempt at decal photos, but I might have just gone 'harumph' and taken them off fairly quickly... (Me, grumpy? Never)! lol.
